charity: water

charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations: right now, almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean, safe drinking waterThat’s one in eight of us.

Check these two videos: the first charity: water video was made for the World Water Day featuring the "Time Bomb" track donated by Beck. The second video is all about the charity: water September 2010 Campaign.

charity: water funds a range of water solutions: these solutions include hand-dug wells, deep wells (boreholes), rehabilitations, spring protections, rainwater harvesting schemes, and biosand filters.

Transparent and fully accountable, charity: water uses 100% of public donations to directly fund sustainable water solutions in areas of greatest need.

If you want to know more be sure to check the charity:water videos, read about field projects and see charity:water in the press and news :)

Now discover how to get involved: a great place to start is mycharity: water, a new website where you can create fundraising campaigns and collect donations. Every dollar raised is tracked to a water project, and in 12-18 months donors can see results using GPS and photos.

Just $20 can give one person clean water for 20 years
